This blog is a record of James Geier’s travels, most notable winters in Chiang Mai, Thailand over the past thirteen years, and Camino de Santiago pilgrimage walks in Spain. The Thailand visits are focused on daily yoga, meditation, and enjoying living for a short time in a very different culture with a different history. Also in the archives are records of my four pilgrimage walks on the Camino de Santiago, two starting in Saint Jean Pied de Port in southwestern France, walking 500 miles to Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain, in 2023 starting in Seville in the south of Spain walking 440 miles to Granja de Moreruela, and in 2024 starting in Zamora and walking 255 miles to Santiago de Compostela. Jim Geier is a former computer system administrator in the San Diego and Los Angeles healthcare sector. James has been an avid road cyclist and former racer for over 50 years and has been an avid yoga student for the past 20 years.
