Another Day in the Life
A few photos I took while walking in Chiang Mai over a couple of fairly routine days. First, while walking back to The 3-Sis from the French boulangerie Chouquette I passed by Sri Phum Corner, the northeast corner of the old city wall. The first photo is looking north at Sri Phum Corner through some flowers growing along the side of the moat. The second photo is from farther south looking back at the corner and part of the wall that still exists near the corner.

In many places in Chiang Mai, and probably many other places, there is some quite beautiful and very skillfully painted street art. I showed some of this art close to Wild Rose Yoga in a previous post ( https://james-intrepid-pilgrim.blog/2025/12/31/a-day-in-the-life/). The street art I saw today is a fairly long stretch (and unfortunately, some of the art has been covered with graffiti):

Later that day, I went to a restaurant, Hummus, a very popular restaurant that is often fully booked with reservations. I want to like it, and the food is good, but it just does not compell me to want to return. There are so many other good restaurants in Chiang Mai I like. So, for the past 3 years, I go to Hummus once and have a meal. The best dish there is the tomato salad. This is what does get me to return once a year.

The next day, I was walking through near Wild Rose Yoga the sois and saw what is a sign that clearly looks like street art. This is for one of the many, many cannabis shops in Chiang Mai, this one called Weed Handsome.

And with another day comes another meal (or typically more than one). I returned to Arno’s, a butcher in Bangkok who started a restaurant there, and then one in Chiang Mai. I had a small meal at Arno’s this time, a cheeseburger and a salad. Always good!

While walking on Tha Phae Road near my favorite co-working place Story 106, I saw another two-sided street art sign for a cannabis shop. Colorful, vibrant, very well done!
