Haircut and Coconut Pancakes

2014 Thailand

January 9, 2014 Thursday

Today was a day for a haircut. Rose had put me in touch with Eva, a young lady from Estonia (or was it Latvia?) who is living in Chiang Mai. Rose told me that Eva gave the best haircut in Chiang Mai! So I met Eva, and she cut my hair. I did not get a picture, but it was a very good haircut (the best haircut in Chiang Mai)! Thank-you, Eva!

Coconut Pancakes

After the haircut, I felt in need of a snack. Right by Tha Phae Gate, there is a very tourist-oriented place called the Coffee Club, in the first floor on the M Hotel. I have walked by The Coffee Club many, many times, and have not bothered to give it much of a second look. But today, I saw on their specials board that they were serving coconut pancakes all day. Mmmmmm…sounds pretty good and maybe worth a try. (This is probably the same problem as going to the grocery store when hungry – too many things look good.) And maybe a cup of coffee or a latte to go with those coconut pancakes…this is sounding very good. So guess what I ordered…

A latte (they have a different name for it I do not recall).

And the coconut pancakes. They were served with some fried banana and a sprinkling of cashews. The pancakes do taste like coconut and they are not too sweet. Good texture, good flavor, good choice.
